This course is a test to investigate functionality and automation

This e-learning course is here to help you to understand the internal processes and structures within The Green Party of Aotearoa New Zealand, so that you can fully understand and participate in the party. Nau mai, haere mai and welcome!

We will cover:

  • Our Charter
  • Consensus Decision-Making
  • Green Party Structure

This course is the first step in your journey of consensus decision-making within the Green Party of Aotearoa New Zealand, and will explain why we use it, and outline the specific consensus process we use. By the end of this course, you will have the tools to begin participating in consensus decision-making.

This is an introductory course to help you get started, and once you’ve completed this you can look for opportunities to see consensus decision-making at work within the party.

This course is for those new to facilitating in the Green Party. It may be of particular use if you have recently become an officeholder, or are wanting to build skills in facilitation.

Sharing the load of facilitation is also important. This means that people are able to develop their ability to facilitate, and to see a variety of different facilitation styles and techniques.

By the end of this course, you should feel comfortable with the process of running a Green Party hui, and understand what makes a good meeting.
